Qatar has continued to provide all necessary support to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its new Director General HE Rafael Grossi, in order to promote peaceful uses of nuclear energy and non-proliferation.

This came in the State of Qatar's statement delivered by HE Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations organizations in Vienna Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri during the special session of the IAEA General Conference held in Vienna.

HE Qatar's Permanent Representative congratulated HE Rafael Grossi on his new position as IAEA Director General, affirming that Grossi's qualifications and long experience in the field of nuclear policies and multilateral international relations will lead the work of the Agency professionally towards achieving its objectives in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy.
