Qatar Participates in 32nd Session of Council of Arab Transport Ministers

The Meetings of the 32nd session of the council of transport ministers of Arab League kicked off in Alexandria at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport on Tuesday.
HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi headed the delegation of the State of Qatar to the meetings.
The agenda of the 32nd session of the council of Arab transport ministers includes many topics related to the transport sector in its various forms, including the support of the Palestinian economy and implementing the strategic sectorial development plan for East Jerusalem (2018-2022) in light of the study submitted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the State of Palestine on the damage of the Palestinian transport sector due to the Israeli occupation practices and the proposed mechanisms to implement the decisions of the Arab transport ministers council in this regard.
The agenda of the meeting will also review the status of Arab conventions in the field of transport in the light of the report prepared by the General Secretariat of the Arab League (Economic,Transport and Tourism Sector) and in line with international conventions, and the importance of establishing a mechanism to review and activate these agreements, in order to reach the desired Arab cooperation in the field of transport, in addition to the proposal to study the establishment of the Arab portal to facilitate the transfer of trade between Arab countries.
