HE President of Austria National Council (parliament) Wolfgang Sobotka met here on Thursday with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Austria Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means to bolster them in addition to a number of topics of mutual interest.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and strengthening parliamentary communication between the Advisory Council in the State of Qatar and the Austrian National Council.

The President of the Austrian National Council expressed his satisfaction with the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, wishing these relations further progress and development in the future.

For his part, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani stressed the keenness of the State of Qatar to strengthen existing relations of cooperation with the Republic of Austria, especially between the Advisory Council and the Austrian National Council.
