The State of Qatar participated in the 'Lebanon Contact Group' meeting which was held in the headquarters of Italy's Foreign Ministry (Palazzo della Farnesina) in Rome.

HE Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi headed the Qatari delegation which comprised HE Qatar's Ambassador to Italy Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jahni and HE Vice-Chariman of Military Cooperation Authority in Qatari Ministry of Defense Brigadier Fahad bin Hamad Haie Al Sulaiti.

During the meeting, Lebanon Contact Group members states discussed ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the National Security Apparatus, with a view of establishing stability and security in Lebanon and assisting the Joint Support Fund for coordination between the Government of Lebanon and international donors, to strengthen the efficiency of the Lebanese armed forces and internal security forces and to seek to complete UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
