The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the suicide bombing on a mosque in central Mogadishu, which killed one soldier.

In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives or reasons.

The statement stressed Qatar's total rejection to target places of worship and intimidate civilians.

The statement expressed sincere condolences to the Somali government and the family of the victim.
