Doha/ Information Office/ 30 December 2016/  HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held Friday via telephone a conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry on the humanitarian situation in Syria's city of Aleppo and means for coordination thereon.

HE the Foreign Minister welcomed the Turkish-Russian deal on ceasefire in Syria.

He stressed the importance of exerting serious efforts for developing a mechanism that obliges the Syrian regime to stop attacks on civilian, lift the siege on all areas in Syria and allow access of international relief agencies to the affected areas.

HE the Foreign Minister also welcomed the US Secretary of State's proposals on the final solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, stressing that these proposals are consistent with the UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
