HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met today with Regional Director for the Near and Middle East of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Fabrizio Carboni, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they discussed strategic cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ICRC in the humanitarian and developmental fields in a number of countries, especially Sudan, Afghanistan, Yemen and Syria.
HE the Minister of State for International Cooperation praised, during the meeting, the great role played by the ICRC in helping those affected in regions of disputes and conflicts.
For his part, the ICRC Regional Director for the Near and Middle East expressed the ICRC's appreciation to the State of Qatar for running an air bridge with an urgent medical and food aid to support the Sudanese people.
