Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from French Foreign Minister

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani received Tuesday a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Catherine Colonna.

During the phone call, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation, especially the development of cooperation in the fields of investments between the two countries.
The phone call also dealt with the latest developments in the nuclear agreement talks, as the two sides stressed on the importance of regional dialogue with Iran and convergence of views between the parties.

The latest developments in the crisis between Russia and Ukraine, in addition to the situation in Libya and Lebanon were also reviewed during the call.

On the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, His Excellency renewed the State of Qatar's call to resolve the dispute through dialogue and diplomatic means, to settle international disputes by peaceful means, and not to take any action that would lead to further escalation.

Regarding the Libyan issue, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's full support for the Libyan political track, the relevant Security Council resolutions, and all peaceful solutions that would preserve Libya's unity, stability and sovereignty, and achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people for development and prosperity.
