Qatar Participates in the 17th Ministerial Meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue

The State of Qatar participated on Thursday in the 17th ministerial meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, which was held under the presidency of the Turkish Republic through visual communication technology.

The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

In his speech during the meeting, Al-Muraikhi congratulated and thanked the Turkish Republic for its successful presidency of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Secretary-General of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue to develop the joint work of this dialogue.

"The State of Qatar attaches great importance to the Asian cooperation dialogue, based on its firm belief in the importance, prestige and role of this dialogue in strengthening relations between member states." HE said.

"There is no doubt that the exceptional circumstances that the world is going through at all levels highlight the need for international solidarity and collectively work to improve all aspects of peoples' lives and advance them at all political, economic and social levels, especially reducing poverty and granting these peoples the foundations for a decent life." he added.

In conclusion, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar's welcome to the participation of all member states in the upcoming summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, to be held in Doha this year 2021.
