Qatar's Ambassador to Oman Confirms Depth of Qatar-Oman Relations

HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Sultanate of Oman Shaikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed that the Omani-Qatari relations have always been deep and strong, cemented by the tribal kinship and affinity. Coordination between the two countries in all fields in addition to convergence of views on regional and international issues have contributed to further strengthen these relations, he added.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), HE the Ambassador stressed that the relations between the two brotherly countries are exemplary thanks to the keen attention of HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
He said that the relations between Muscat and Doha are characterized by more openness and proximity, considering the natural resources, advanced industries, and strong economies they both enjoy, in addition to their geographical proximity and the strong historical ties that unite the two countries.
On the role of the Omani-Qatari committee, HE the Ambassador indicated that it has been working to give a boost to a number of projects that have been discussed in the past period. The committee is working on four projects in several areas, including food security, tourism, manufacturing, and assembly, in addition to utilizing raw materials.
